It has some inaccuracies (I’m not yet a certified midwife - I have finished the academics and most of the clinical requirements), and the comment about Chris and me being in our "golden years" is stunning, but it is a good article and we really enjoyed talking with Meredith. I thought she did a very good job overall of capturing our work.
I was surprised at some of the nasty feedback we got about wasting time and money going overseas to some “god-forsaken villages”. And some folks were adamant about sterilizing the poor. I thought those attitudes were long gone, but sadly they remain.
Anyway, most of the feedback we got has been enormously positive. We’ve had some great conversations with caring people as a result. Nice.
