What other organizations are working to support healthy birth?
If you know of other organizations, please let us know. Thank you.
How can I find a midwife?
The Midwives Alliance will send you a list of their members. The American College of
Nurse-Midwives provides lists of their members.
Also check with your state's midwives organization and its midwifery registry. You
can do an Internet search. A number of websites provide a place for midwives to
advertise. MOMS does not provide referrals.
What is the story of Sierra Leone?
The Sierra Leone Web site is a rich compendium of articles, pictures, etc.
As always, Wikipedia articles provide a solid background and good links.
The official government site shows the departments and has some good maps. (This
site goes down often. As it has interesting information, it is worth the effort to check
back.)
The Sierra Leone Encyclopedia has info about NGOs and government activity.
From this page, you can find websites about things that relate to MOMS' mission.
For articles, literature, and presentations to download, please go to our References
page. For our dispatches from West Africa, see our Dispatches page.
