Millions of Words...

We have taken many pictures, when we had functioning cameras, because “one picture is worth a thousand words”. Yet even pictures don’t tell the whole story. You need the odor of burning rubbish and dried fish. You need the raucous sounds of crowded cities, and the sweet call of birds in the countryside. You need to feel the sweat and the bite of a mosquito - and the gentle touch of a curious child. You have to be able to taste the fire of West African red peppers!

But we offer you these snapshots of us working, traveling, laughing, dancing...living with our friends in Sierra Leone. We hope you enjoy them. Everyone you see have given their permission to have their pictures published on this web site.

To the right of this page, you’ll see the names of several picture albums. Click the album you want. When the thumbnails appear, click the first one to expand its size. Then at the top of the page, you can click “Next” to page through the album.

If you would like to see pictures of a particular place, person, or event, please let us know. If we have a good one in the file, we’ll post it. If we don’t have a decent picture of what you want to see, we’ll try to take one on the next trip.
