Legal Matters and Discrimination Policy
MOMS is a 501(c)(3) corporation (non-profit) organized in the State of Oregon. Our
EIN is 93-1254632. Your donations are tax exempt. We are registered with the
Government of Sierra Leone as an International Non-Governemental Organization.
We are a charitable institution, providing education and maternity care to women who
would not otherwise have access to it. We are not a religious group, although we find
this work a spiritual calling. We represent many faith traditions on our Board and
among our volunteers.
We have no paid staff in the US; we do pay our Sierra Leonean staff. Our volunteers
pay their own expenses when they travel.
MOMS does not discriminate on the basis of gender, gender role or identity, marital
status; religious preferences; racial, ethnic or national origins or affiliations; age,
veteran's status, or income level.
