Online Art Show
MOMS is holding its second annual World of Women art show. This year, you can
attend from the comfort of your own home! Please check very soon for the results of
the judging!
The art show will open here on January 1, 2008, and run the whole year. Each
month, we will feature one of the twelve selected artists, so you can see a larger
showcase of that artist's work.
Are you an artist? For more information about submitting work for the show,
download the prospectus. (It is in PDF format, so you need Acrobat Reader.)
Why is MOMS running an art show?
- To offer artists a venue to share their view on the lives of women and girls.
- To give you a chance to buy art that will make a difference in the lives of women
and their infants.
- To provide MOMS with resources to meet our mission of improving maternal and
child health.

The Judge: William Storm
The lead judge for the art show is William Storm. Will is an artist of some renown in
his own right, and is experienced in evaluating the works of others. He is also
personally invested in the subject matter, World of Women, as his own works reflect
a genuine sensitivity to issues facing women and an awareness of how difficult life is
for women in most places on earth. Will says:
For me, art isn't about drawing, painting, water color, paper, or canvas.
It's about seeing with new eyes and building on that which is seen. To be
in the moment when light and shadow complement form, when time is lost,
and paper or canvas has its own life - those are truly the magic instances
of "seeing" with new eyes.
